Christine

Receptionist

Christine was a client here at Maple City Animal Hospital before she was an employee. When an opportunity arose for her to use her background in medicine to better the lives of pets, she jumped at the chance! Christine has been a veterinary professional ever since, and is proud to serve the pets and their loving owners of the area as one of the hospital’s front-desk receptionists.

Christine is a Chicago native and attended college to earn a degree in biology. She worked in the human healthcare field, helping patients at a local hospital for 26 fulfilling years, before transitioning into animal care. Christine first signed on here at the clinic as a dog bather, serving in the grooming department for a number of years, before becoming a receptionist.

Around the hospital, Christine loves to help reassure clients when their beloved companions require care and celebrate when new pets are brought into the world. She especially likes sharing fun pet stories with animal owners just like herself!

Christine has two grown children and five wonderful grandchildren, all of whom live in the Chicago area. At home, she has a pair of Golden Retrievers named Keen and Kindle, and regularly trains her dogs for field work. (She even serves as a judge for Retriever Hunt Tests in the Midwest!) When she isn’t spending time with family or her dogs, Christine likes to garden, read, sew, quilt, and cook.
