Proper Food

We really can’t overstate the importance of making sure Fluffy is eating good, nourishing food. After all, you are what you eat! Ask your vet for recommendations. 

Clean Litterboxes

We know, this will never be anyone’s favorite chore. However, it is important to make sure your furry buddy’s litterbox is kept clean. Nobody likes a dirty bathroom!

Entertainment 

Our feline pals may spend a rather ridiculous amount of time sleeping, but that doesn’t mean they don’t need entertainment. Fluffy can get quite bored and unhappy with nothing to do or watch! Provide plenty of fun toys, and offer your kitty some comfy spots with good views. 

Manicure Station

Fluffy is very devoted to caring for those little paw daggers. It’s understandable that people can get frustrated when their pets shred their furniture. However, it’s important to remember that this is instinctive behavior. Work with your kitty, rather than against her, by providing her a suitable scratching post. 

Veterinary Care 

Fluffy may only need to come in once a year, but it’s important to keep up with those appointments. Staying up to date with your feline buddy’s recommended vaccines and parasite control products can go a long way towards keeping her healthy, happy, and safe. It’s also important to watch for signs of illness. Contact your vet immediately if you notice anything amiss. 

Loyalty

Adopting a pet is a lifelong commitment. When you bring Fluffy into your life, you’re promising to provide her with good care (and, of course lap space) for the rest of her life. If you aren’t able to make that commitment, hold off until you can.

Love  

Love is the secret ingredient in any pet care regimen. Spend time with your furry friend every day, and make sure that she feels loved and safe. Life really is better with cats!
