Kitty Philosophy

Does your feline buddy often get a smug look on her face? Cats may be small, but they certainly are sure of themselves. As it turns out, Fluffy has her own set of rules … some of which are actually pretty good! A Michigan City, IN vet goes over some key points of kitty philosophy in this article.

Always Look Your Best

Cats are very clean, and they take their daily grooming rituals very seriously. You don’t need to spend hours getting ready, but it is important to look neat and well-groomed.

Act Confidant

If there was one area where kitties can be a great inspiration, this may very well be it. Cats have a special way of being graceful, aloof, and self-assured.

Speak Your Mind

Kitties are quite opinionated little furballs. You may get an earful as you’re taking Fluffy in a car ride to the vet’s, or if you move her mid-nap. Express yourself!

Show Affection

Fluffy can melt hearts very quickly with her purrs and cuddles. While our feline overlords can be mysterious at times, they are very, very clear when it comes to showing affection.

Get Lots Of Rest

Did you know that kitties spend up to 2/3rds of their lives sleeping? Being cute is apparently pretty exhausting! You don’t have to go that far, but be sure to get good rest.

Keep Up With Duties

Most of our feline friends live fairly luxurious lives, and spend their days sleeping, eating, and meditating. However, Fluffy does have some daily tasks, which she takes very seriously. These may include helping you with changing sheets, protecting you from moths, distributing her fur around, and keeping your lap or chair warm.

Stay Close To Your Loved Ones

Cats like to monitor their humans carefully. Fluffy may follow you around throughout the day, and may even follow you into the bathroom. We wouldn’t advise going that far, but it is important to spend time with the people you’re close to.

Have Fun

Our feline buddies are super cute when they’re feeling frisky and playful. Fluffy isn’t particularly worried about whether or not she looks silly as she is pouncing on that feather toy: she’s too busy having fun! Take time to do the things you enjoy.
